I come from a family of small business owners and understand how hard it is to run a business on your own, especially without appropriate, strategic guidance, support, and access to capital.

ROSA, an acronym for Remembering Our Shared Abundance, is a community wealth building project that seeks to address the challenges of entrepreneurship, particularly the need for a trusted network of peers and advisors, and access to the right types of capital. We aim to create community based investing opportunities in support of Triangle-area Black women and femme business owners and creatives.

  • "her quality contributions not only kept our operations going smoothly but also allowed us to optimize our workflows in new ways."

Our team was so fortunate to work with Brittany as our Interim Director, while our Executive Director was on parental leave. For those few months, Brittany's familiarity with our organization and her quality contributions not only kept our operations going smoothly but also allowed us to optimize our workflows in new ways. Her premium support to our senior staff and board members aligned well with our needs during that time, and I feel confident saying that we would happily work with her again in the future.

  • "The way she moves is intentional—there’s alignment between what she believes, what she builds, and how she shows up in community."

Working with Brittany has been both grounding and expansive in the best way. She brings a rare combination of strategic clarity, deep care, and lived understanding to her work, especially when it comes to money, power, and what it truly means to build something sustainable. What stands out most is her ability to hold both the big vision and the human experience at the same time. She asks thoughtful, often challenging questions that push you to think more critically about your work, while also creating a sense of trust that makes it easier to be honest about where you are and what you need.

Through our work together with The ROSA Collective, I’ve seen how Brittany translates values like interdependence, mutuality, and non-extractive practices into real structures, relationships, and decisions. The way she moves is intentional—there’s alignment between what she believes, what she builds, and how she shows up in community. This has been a impactful collaboration and community for me, and I continue to learn from the way Brittany approaches both strategy and stewardship. It’s deepened how I think about building in a way that is rigorous, values-aligned, and rooted in care and in practice over time.

For anyone considering working with Brittany, whether as a consultant, collaborator, or thought partner, you can expect someone who will meet you with intention, integrity, and a genuine commitment to your growth and the impact of your work.

  • "Brittany has also shown her interest in our site’s narrative, helping us to preserve this history with immense care and thoughtfulness."

Brittany was highly recommended by our Division Director to assist us with fiscal planning and sustainability for the future of our site. As we continue this project, Brittany has been a joy to work with and learn from. In addition to her dedication to our growth and success, Brittany has also shown her interest in our site’s narrative, helping us to preserve this history with immense care and thoughtfulness.

Those who seek to work with Brittany in the future can expect diligence, a careful attention to detail, and a bright and gracious disposition. We are grateful to have Brittany’s help during our season of revitalization, and we are excited to keep using her services as we continue to grow.

  • "Her keen judgement, deep knowledge, emotional intelligence, and creative problem-solving skills make her the ideal sounding board and collaborative partner for a wide range of applications."

I'm proud to have been a witness to Brittney's professional journey since her initial start with Self-Help well over a decade ago. While the passion and smarts to make a difference were always there, the technical skills, grounding in applied practice, networking skills and confidence that she acquired so naturally over time have helped shape her into the veritable tour de force that she is today. Her keen judgement, deep knowledge, emotional intelligence, and creative problem-solving skills make her the ideal sounding board and collaborative partner for a wide range of applications. I would recommend her to any organization working to drive change at the community level, with the only qualification being that they should be prepared to reexamine their assumptions and approach just like I have through my interactions with Brittany.
