Over the last 15 years, my work has been in the areas of community development finance, education, and entrepreneur support. I have used my training and experience in public administration, nonprofit leadership and governance, organizational development, and event planning to support mission-driven organizations, particularly early stage nonprofits and those experiencing significant moments of change and transition. 

BennettWeston Consulting was founded in 2021 to use my varied interests and experiences to support the well-being of organizations, small businesses, and communities so that the people who lead and exist inside them can thrive.

The core areas of my work at BWC are organizational capacity and culture building, and community economic development through arts and culture. I am committed to helping leaders and teams manage change, sustain resources, and create impact that strengthens communities.

Services:

  • I design and facilitate meetings and retreats for connection, reflection, goal setting,  and celebration allowing clients to be fully engaged and all voices are included in moving strategy forward.

  • I collaborate with clients to create systems and structures to carry out their mission and goals for long-term sustainability and  impact. In this process, we review key artifacts, deeply engage stakeholders, facilitate reflection and visioning conversations, and provide actionable recommendations. We emphasize the why and how of the client’s work, always attentive to the why and how, as well as asking who benefits and who is harmed.

  • I support clients as they plan and execute strategic convenings with partners, collaborators, and their broader professional fields through project management prior to and on the day of the event. I also help secure sponsorships and develop partnerships.

  • I coach leaders and business owners, helping them to clarify their goals and align their work with their goals and values.

  • On a case by case basis, I provide interim executive leadership during time-bound transitions.
